Bompas & Parr and Captain Morgan (Diageo UK)
W12 Shopping Centre, London
1st February - 14th April 2019
Bompas & Parr
We’re exploring what happens when immersive theatre collides with brand experience on a really grand scale… almost a theatrical business model. It’s easily the biggest square footage of any project that Bompass & Parr have worked on. - Sam Bompas, Bompas & Parr
The brand is deeply integrated, but it’s not a Captain Morgan brand experience, so I think that makes it much more interesting for consumers. Bompas & Parr have a great history of providing amazing experiences and that will inspire people to come along. - Nicky Burke, Global Commercial Marketing Manager, Captain Morgan
Guests to navigate themselves by boat on the world's largest indoor lagoon, complete with its own weather system, to a series of islands inspired by the atolls of the south Pacific.
Along the way, facing creative challenges as part of an immersive theatrical production, buccaneers will receive rum-based rations and progressively accumulate the knowledge to make the finest rum punches, reinvigorating a 400-year-old rhyme-based recipe that has stood the test of time to remain the simplest way to make a great-tasting punch – with no obscure ingredients or complex techniques required.
Armed with their final recipe, they will find Captain Morgan's ultimate hidden bounty -– an island party palace for urban luaus set against a radical reimagining of south Pacific island-inspired tiki culture.
